Mortal Kombat - Saturday 20 June - 1600

Mortal Kombat II (2026) is a sequel to the 2021 film, following martial artist Johnny Cage as he joins Earth realm fighters in a deadly interdimensional tournament against Outworld, led by Emperor Shao Kahn.

The story centres on the tournament, where heroes like Liu Kang, Sonya Blade, and Jax battle powerful enemies. Shao Kahn gains near-immortality through a magical amulet, making him difficult to defeat. Several key characters die during the fights, including Cole Young and Liu Kang.

Johnny Cage gains confidence and unlocks his powers while helping destroy the amulet, which removes Shao Kahn’s immortality. Kitana ultimately turns against Shao Kahn, defeats him, and becomes queen of Edenia. The film ends with the surviving heroes planning to revive their fallen allies.
